DEMING – This morning, (Friday May 17th) New Mexico State Representative Jenifer Jones of District 32 will have the honor of serving as the commencement speaker for the graduating seniors of Deming Early College High School. The ceremony will celebrate the achievements of 35 graduating students out of a total student body of 165.
This unique institution primarily admits rising 9th graders but also accepts transfer students in all grades from 9th to 12th. Among the graduating class of 2024, an impressive 27 students participated in the Western New Mexico University (WNMU) Commencement, earning associate degrees. Notably, one student also attained a welding certificate, and another received an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certificate.
The graduation ceremony will take place this morning at 10 am, and the public is invited to attend this celebratory event.
