DEMING – Deming Public Schools released a letter to all parents last week detailing its readiness to handle emergencies during school hours. The district emphasized that its facilities meet strict safety standards and are equipped with crisis plans to care for students during major incidents.
Parents are urged to ensure contact information is current in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and to avoid calling schools or student cell phones during emergencies. Updates will be sent via email, text, or phone, and shared through local media and social platforms.
Students will only be released to authorized adults listed on emergency contact forms, with off-campus relocation possible if necessary. To read the full letter, visit demingps.org. For questions, contact the district office at (575) 546-8841.
