DEMING – The Governing Council of Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School will meet Tuesday, April 8, at 6 p.m. in Room 14 of the school building at 315 E. 1st Street. The meeting is also available via Zoom; see the school’s website for access details.
Key items on the agenda include review and discussion of the 2025-2026 school budget, including parent input, approval of a salary schedule, and adoption of the school calendar for the next academic year. The Council will also consider guidance for budget submission and a budget adjustment.
Additional topics include a report on recent community school food distribution efforts and updates on the school’s fundraising and marketing strategies. Members will also follow up on the recent election of officers and hear reports from school committees including Audit, Finance, Equity Council, and a student legislative update.
An executive session is planned to discuss personnel matters and pending litigation.
