DEMING – A woman was seriously injured in a head-on crash Saturday evening, May 31, along New Mexico Highway 26 near milepost 4, according to New Mexico State Police.
Authorities say the crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. when the woman, for unknown reasons, crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a semi-truck. The impact caused her passenger vehicle to roll.
She was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition has not been released.
The driver and passenger of the semi-truck were not injured, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
