DEMING – The New Mexico State Police are calling on residents statewide to cast their votes in the American Association of State Troopers Best Cruiser Contest, with public voting opening Sunday, June 30.
In a social media post, the department wrote, “This isn’t just a car, it’s a symbol of the dedication and pride we bring to protecting and serving our community every single day.” Their entry features a specially outfitted patrol cruiser showcasing the spirit and professionalism of New Mexico law enforcement.
The annual contest invites law enforcement agencies from across the country to submit a photo of their marked patrol vehicles, with the public voting on which cruiser deserves the top spot.
Last year’s title was won by the Florida Highway Patrol, whose entry featured a striking photo taken at Cape Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex. Florida received nearly 29,000 votes, edging out Kentucky with just over 26,000—making the competition fierce and highly publicized.
New Mexico is hoping to make its mark in 2025, and public support will be key.
To vote, visit www.statetroopers.org/cruiser-contest starting June 30, 2025, and help put New Mexico’s cruiser on the map.
