Hometown Happenings: Heroes Day Lunch Set for Fourth of July

DEMING – In honor of those who serve and protect, First Christian Church in Deming is hosting a free appreciation lunch this Thursday, July 4th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event takes place at 119 West Maple Street, and is open to all active and retired law enforcement, dispatchers, fire and EMS personnel, Border Patrol, State Police, military, and veterans.

Whether on duty or off, all are welcome to enjoy a hot meal—including burgers, hot dogs, chips, coleslaw, desserts, and plenty of cold drinks. Families are encouraged to attend, and meals will be available for both dine-in or takeout.

It’s all part of Heroes Day, a local tradition of gratitude for those who dedicate their lives to public safety and service.
