Local Arrests and Incidents Reported by Deming Police


DEMING – The Deming Police Department has released a weekend summary of recent arrests and incidents.

Arrests include:

  1. Oscar Pacheco, 50, of Deming, charged with Battery Upon a Household Member.
  2. Robert Chaves, 51, of Deming, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
  3. Raymond Armijo, 54, of Bullhead City, Arizona, was charged with Trespass and Shoplifting at Walmart.

Burglaries:

  • A major theft occurred at Union Pacific Railroad on East Railroad Blvd early Sunday morning, where over $6,250 in tools—including a welder and power tools—were stolen from two work trucks.
  • Another burglary was reported at the Comfort Inn on West Pine, involving a white 2025 Ford pickup. The total loss is still being assessed.

Other Notable Incidents:

  • Two juveniles were arrested after a reckless driving incident involving fleeing from law enforcement, marijuana possession, and resisting arrest. Juvenile Probation did not approve detention; both were cited and released to guardians.
  • A felony larceny at Ace Hardware on South Columbus Road involved a black wallet containing $4,000 in cash and credit cards.
  • Another felony larceny at Divine Dentistry on North 8th Street involved a stolen air conditioning unit valued at $1,500. A suspect has been identified.
  • Deming High Desert Realty reported criminal damage to a glass door, estimated at $1,000.
  • Samantha Dominguez, 37, was cited and released for shoplifting at Walmart.

Missing Persons:

  • Christina Cordova Bravo Ortiz, 30, reported missing on June 26th, was safely located in San Diego, California, on June 29th.
  • A juvenile reported missing on June 29th was also safely located later that evening.
