DEMING – The Deming Police Department and Luna County Detention Center have released arrest reports covering the period of June 27 through July 3, 2025. Charges range from drug possession and vehicle theft to DUI and outstanding warrants.
Among those arrested was Raymond Mondonow Armijo, 54, of Bullhead City, Arizona. Armijo was taken into custody on June 30 by Deming Police and faces charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a failure to appear warrant.
On June 29, New Mexico State Police arrested Arturo Garcia, 51, of El Paso, Texas, on a charge of aggravated DWI.
In separate incidents:
- Oscar Pacheco, 50, of Deming, was arrested June 27 for battery against a household member.
- Judianne Lorraine Marrujo, 38, of Las Cruces, was booked June 30 on a bench warrant for failure to appear.
- Brian Paul Otero, 24, of Deming, was arrested July 2 on multiple charges including aggravated fleeing from law enforcement, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, DUI (drugs), resisting arrest, and reckless driving.
- Ricardo Manuel Lopez, 23, also of Deming, was taken into custody July 2 on a bench warrant for failure to appear.
Joshua Don Riggs, 18, of Silver City, was arrested July 1 for disorderly conduct.
Also on July 2, Julian Frank Morales, 30, of Deming, was arrested by Adult Probation and Parole and charged with receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle.
Jerrik Levi Birner, 25, of Deming, was arrested by the Luna County Sheriff’s Office for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
On July 3, deputies also arrested Angel Leyva-Sotelo, 27, of Columbus, on a warrant for failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.
Nicholas Kelly, 37, of Deming, was arrested June 27 for interfering with officers.
And on June 26, Kenneth Dean Aleshire, 50, of Winchester, California, was taken into custody by New Mexico State Police. He faces charges of DWI, speeding, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
