WNMU Board of Regents to Hold Special Meeting July 21

The Western New Mexico University Board of Regents will convene for a special meeting on Monday, July 21, 2025, with sessions scheduled both in person and virtually via Zoom.

The meeting will begin with an executive session at 11:00 a.m., taking place in the Serna Conference Room of WNMU’s Castorena Hall. This closed portion will also be accessible virtually at https://wnmu.zoom.us/j/84751767139 and will include discussion of limited personnel matters and legal matters subject to attorney-client privilege, as allowed under NMSA 1978 Section 10-15-1 (H-2) and (H-7).

The special session will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Seminar Room of the Thomas B. McDonald Student Memorial Building and will also be accessible online at https://wnmu.zoom.us/j/87833130414. The agenda includes the call to order, approval of the agenda, and consideration of new business. The primary item of new business is the approval of attorney employment, presented by Regent Chair Steven Neville.

There is no old business scheduled. The meeting will also feature a regents’ information session, time for public comment, and closing remarks from the board.

The members of the WNMU Board of Regents include Steven Neville, John V. Wertheim, Keana Huerta, and J. Dean Reed.
