DEMING – On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Deming Public Schools announced the appointment of Nicholas Wohlgemuth as the district’s new Superintendent. The announcement was made by Charles Turner, Government Affairs Coordinator, following a unanimous vote by the Board of Education during a special meeting held June 17.
Wohlgemuth, who began his tenure on July 1, brings more than 23 years of experience in public education, all within the Gadsden Independent School District. His career has included roles ranging from classroom teacher to district-level leadership, reflecting a long-standing commitment to educational advancement and student success.
District leaders say they look forward to supporting Wohlgemuth as he works alongside staff, families, and the community to continue advancing the mission and vision of Deming Public Schools.
