Autopsy Results Pending in Death of 39-Year-Old Man
DEMING – The Luna County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Deming man following a reported altercation Tuesday night.
According to officials, deputies and Deming Fire Department personnel were dispatched at approximately 10:20 p.m. on July 22 to the 3100 block of Silver City Highway NW in reference to an unresponsive male reportedly involved in a fight.
The individual, identified as 39-year-old Jorge Enriquez of the 100 block of Herrington Drive SE, was transported by ambulance to Mimbres Valley Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Luna County Sheriff’s Captain Michael Brown told Deming Radio News that several individuals have been interviewed in connection with the incident. However, any potential charges remain pending until the completion of a full investigation and autopsy by the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque.
