DEMING – A new digital jail management platform known as JailTracker is now in use at the Luna County Detention Center, part of a broader effort to modernize facility operations and enhance communication services for detainees.
The system, developed by Benchmark, has been implemented in partnership with ICSolutions, a company that provides inmate communication solutions. The integration between JailTracker and ICSolutions allows for a more streamlined and efficient workflow within the detention facility.
Pablo Montoya, Director of Public Safety for Luna County, explained the training approach: “Staff received two hours of hands-on training, plus additional on-site guidance throughout the launch week. This approach helped our detention officers quickly adapt and gain confidence using the system.”
A photo shared by the county features Officer Ileana Salcido using the JailTracker system at her workstation, giving the public a visual look at the new software in action.
Montoya added, “The implementation of JailTracker reflects our commitment to improving transparency, efficiency, and security across all aspects of detention center operations.”
The new system officially went live this month and is expected to bring long-term operational benefits to the Luna County facility.
