CASA Volunteers Needed to Advocate for Local Children

DEMING – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Luna, Grant, and Hidalgo Counties is calling on community members to step forward and make a difference in the lives of abused or neglected children. CASA volunteers serve as a vital voice for children in foster care, working to ensure their best interests are represented in court.

Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, pass a background and reference check, complete 30 hours of training, and have internet access and transportation. CASA’s goal is to advocate for each child until they reach a permanent, safe home—whether through reunification with family or adoption.

Those interested in becoming a CASA volunteer can call 575-694-5719 for Luna and Hidalgo Counties or 575-694-5721 for Grant County. Email inquiries can be sent to [email protected].
