DEMING – The Governing Council of Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School will hold its next regular board meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in Room #14 at the school, located at 315 E. 1st Street in Deming, and will also be accessible via Zoom for remote participants.
The agenda includes several action items marked for approval, such as meeting minutes from June, budget adjustments related to City of Deming and Luna County grants, elective credits for community service and work experience, fixed asset certification, and Memorandums of Understanding covering transportation, student nutrition, and maintenance. Policy updates are also expected to be reviewed for the board, staff, and student handbooks.
Public comment will be accepted at the start of the meeting during a 15-minute limited forum. The meeting will also highlight staff and student spotlights and include committee reports from Audit, Finance, Academic Planning, and others.
