DEMING – The 46th annual Great American Duck Race weekend will kick off in style with the Bravo Mic Duck Royalty Pageant, taking place Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Deming Public Schools Auditorium, located at 1100 S. Nickel Street. The doors open at 5:30 PM, and the pageant begins at 6:30 PM.
Open to anyone who’s ever had the desire to waddle in public, the Bravo Mic Duck Royalty Pageant offers fun for all ages and divisions, including Just Hatched (0–1 year), Little Waddler (2–4 years), Downey Duckling (5–8 years), Darling Duckling (9–12 years), and Duck Queen or King (13 years and up). Participants under 18 must have a responsible party or guardian listed.
Entry is now open at www.demingduckrace.com, and the deadline to register is Tuesday, August 19 at 11:59 PM. A mandatory participant meeting will be held the night before the event, on Wednesday, August 20 at 6:00 PM, at the same auditorium.
Cash and prizes will be awarded, and tickets will be sold at the door for just $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. The pageant is proudly sponsored by Bravo Mic Communications and serves as the official launch of Duck Race weekend festivities.
