DEMING – The New Mexico Department of Transportation’s District One has announced nearly $3.9 million in state-funded roadway improvements for Luna County.
The City of Deming will receive $3,370,000 for Phase III of the Gold Street Maintenance Road Diet and Safety Project, aimed at improving traffic flow and roadway safety along one of the city’s key corridors.
The Village of Columbus has been awarded $585,200 for improvements in its Business and Historic District. The project will focus on upgrading infrastructure in the village center to better serve residents and support local economic growth.
District Engineer Aaron Chavarria said state investments provide critical resources for small communities to move forward with infrastructure projects that are vital for growth and development.
