DEMING – Local youth will soon have the chance to take to the skies as EAA Chapter 530 hosts its Young Eagles Flights program at the City of Deming Municipal Airport. The free aviation event is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 310 Airport Road.
The Young Eagles program is designed to introduce children to the world of aviation through hands-on experience. Kids ages 8 to 17 are invited to register, sign a waiver, and enjoy a free airplane ride with volunteer pilots. Organizers say this unique opportunity lets young people experience the thrill of flight while learning more about aviation careers and community service.
All flights are weather permitting and subject to pilot availability. Parents and families are encouraged to attend and take part in the aviation day activities.
