DEMING – Six-year-old Kaisley Mendenhall is representing Memorial Elementary in the pee-wee princess category at this year’s Southwestern New Mexico State Fair.
Kaisley says her favorite part of school is learning with her teacher, Mrs. Diaz. Away from the classroom, she enjoys being outdoors and practicing basketball.
At home, she helps welcome her new baby sibling, Amari, who is just five months old. Her family describes her as loving and caring, and they are proud to see her take part in the fair. In her recorded message, Kaisley kicked things off with a smile: “Hey everyone, let’s go to Vegas… NO! Let’s go to the fair!”
The Southwestern New Mexico State Fair runs October 1–5 at the fairgrounds in the Deming Industrial Park.
