DEMING – Jaylene Jaquez, 16, is an 11th grader at Deming High School competing for queen at the Southwestern New Mexico State Fair.
A cheerleader and student council member, Jaylene is active in school and the community, and has even participated in the Great American Duck Race.
She enjoys dancing, staying involved in local events, and living life to the fullest. Jaylene is the daughter of Cesar and Kim Jaquez, who say they are proud of her accomplishments.
In her recorded message, she invited everyone to come out to the fair to see the animals, enjoy the events, and have fun at the carnival.
The Southwestern New Mexico State Fair runs October 1–5 at the fairgrounds in the Deming Industrial Park.
