DEMING – The 12th annual Deming Pride event, themed “United Together,” is set to take place October 9-12 at the Southwestern New Mexico State Fairgrounds. Organizers say the weekend will highlight equality, inclusion, and diversity through a lineup of entertainment, food, and family-friendly activities.
The celebration begins October 9 with the Sashes Pageant at 7 p.m., featuring the crowning of Mr. and Miss Deming Pride 2025 and Miss Deming Elite 2025. The following evening, October 10, brings the Sponsor Social Party and Wedding Expo, giving attendees the chance to meet vendors and enjoy music at the Lazy Lizard Tiki Bar.
On October 11, the festivities continue with the Entertainment Showcase, featuring entertainers from New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona. A free vendors market will open at 3 p.m., followed by live performances at 6 p.m. October 12 closes out the weekend with a Family Day BBQ from noon to 5 p.m., offering hamburgers, hotdogs, a kids’ water balloon toss, and other fun activities.
All events will be held at the SWNM Fairgrounds, 4300 Raymond Reed Blvd. DJ Smalls Prez will serve as DJ for the weekend. Organizers invite the community to join the celebration and note that a possible on-site radio broadcast may take place.
