Greyhound Passenger Stabbed Near Deming; Suspect Held Without Bond

DEMING – A Greyhound bus traveling near Deming became the scene of a violent stabbing that left one passenger hospitalized and another in custody without bond.

According to KVIA-El Paso, the victim is a Tucson resident who suffered multiple stab wounds during the incident. Prosecutors say witnesses reported that 24-year-old Ryan Kenny stood up as if he were heading to the restroom before allegedly attacking the victim with a knife.

The bus pulled over to the side of the interstate as passengers evacuated in panic. Kenny reportedly tried to escape but was detained shortly after by state police officers.

Officials say the victim was airlifted to an El Paso hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Kenny is being held without bond as prosecutors continue their investigation.
