DEMING – The community is invited to gather for a full day of flavor, music, and family fun at this year’s Salsa Festival on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Luna County Courthouse Park.
Be talkative and conversational. This year’s festival brings back public voting for New Mexico’s top salsas, giving everyone a chance to help choose the winners. Local restaurants will face off once again in the Professional Salsa Contest, and community members can jump into the fun with the Amateur Salsa Competition. A total of $450 in cash prizes will be awarded to the contest winners.
Festival-goers can also cheer on participants in the always-crowd-pleasing jalapeño eating contest, browse local vendor booths, enjoy games and food, and take in live music throughout the day.
As the sun sets, the celebration continues with a City-sponsored concert, featuring Frank Ray live at the Mimbres Valley Special Events Center to close out the evening.
