DEMING – The Deming Police Department and the Luna County Detention Center have released their latest arrest and incident report.
Recent arrests included several individuals detained on a range of charges. Kevin Vincent Bourget Jr., 26, was arrested on charges of battery upon a household member and criminal damage to the property of a household member. Michael Gonzales, 31, was taken into custody on a State of New Mexico Corrections Department warrant for alleged parole violations and was held without bond. Cynthia Gallegos, 60, was booked on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation, also held without bond.
Additional arrests included Ramon Franco, 26, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting or evading an officer, and was also held on a warrant for failure to appear with no bond allowed. Elsa Denogean, 46, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant with a $330 cash bond. Jimmy Romero, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth).
Officers also responded to several property damage reports. A vehicle windshield was damaged on West Hickory Street, with the value estimated at $300. A separate incident on South Suncrest Street involved a broken front door window, with charges expected after surveillance review. In another case, an attempted break-in was reported at a residence on East Birch Street, which remains under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division. A physical altercation at a local establishment on North Gold Street resulted in Public Affray charges being filed.
All persons mentioned in today’s report are to be considered innocent until found guilty by a court.
