DEMING – According to the Deming Police Department and the Luna County Detention Center, several individuals were taken into custody over the weekend.
Officers arrested 49-year-old Richard Rene Acosta on four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, along with Aggravated DWI after he allegedly refused to submit to a breath test. In a separate case, 24-year-old Roman Carrazco was booked on charges of Aggravated Burglary with a Deadly Weapon, two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Tampering with Evidence.
Police also arrested 21-year-old Jose Julian Aguilar for Criminal Damage to the Property of a Household Member, and 27-year-old Amber Rose Alfred for Trespassing. In another incident, 18-year-old Michael Saenz was cited and released after allegedly shoplifting alcoholic beverages from Walmart.
All persons mentioned in this report should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
