DEMING — The City of Deming is inviting residents to submit letters of interest to fill upcoming vacancies on two city commissions that serve as recommending bodies to the Mayor and City Council.
According to a public notice released by the city, one vacancy is available on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a two-year term. Applicants for this position must reside within the Deming city limits. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the third Monday of each month.
The city is also seeking to fill one vacancy on the Airport Commission for a two-year term. Applicants may reside either within the city limits or elsewhere in Luna County. The Airport Commission meets on the second Tuesday of every even-numbered month.
Interested individuals are asked to submit a letter of interest specifying which commission they wish to serve on, along with a brief background outlining their qualifications. Letters should be addressed to Mayor Michelle C. Shillito, in care of Karen Reed, and mailed to P.O. Box 706, Deming, New Mexico 88030. Submissions may also be sent by email to [email protected].
