DEMING – Western New Mexico University is entering the final week of registration for the Spring 2026 semester, and current and prospective students are encouraged to complete their schedules as soon as possible to secure desired courses.
The registration deadline is Monday, January 12, 2026, which is also the first day of classes for 16-week courses. The deadline applies to all current, returning, new, and transfer students.
Students may register online at wnmu.edu or in person at WNMU campuses in Silver City, Deming, and Gallup. Academic advising is available both in person and remotely.
University officials say registering on time helps students stay on their degree path, secure financial aid packages, and avoid the risk of course unavailability or disenrollment.
Current students can register by logging into the Mustang Express portal through the WNMU homepage. New, readmitted, or transfer students should complete an application at wnmu.edu/applynow.
Students needing assistance with course planning are encouraged to contact the University Advising Center at 575-538-6393 to schedule a priority appointment. Enrollment and payment arrangements must be finalized by the deadline to avoid being dropped from selected classes.
