DEMING – The annual Rockhound Roundup will return to the Southwestern New Mexico State Fairgrounds March 12 through 15, bringing vendors, mineral displays and family-friendly activities back to Deming.
Hosted by the Gem and Mineral Society, the Rockhound Roundup has become one of the region’s most anticipated spring events, drawing collectors and visitors from across the Southwest. Admission is free, and organizers say there will be activities and shopping opportunities for all ages and interests.
Last year’s event saw strong turnout, and supporters are encouraging residents to continue backing the long-standing local tradition that highlights Deming’s deep roots in geology and mineral collecting.
The event will feature a variety of vendors offering rocks, minerals, fossils, jewelry and specialty items, along with exhibits and demonstrations designed to educate and entertain attendees.
The Rockhound Roundup runs March 12–15 at the Southwestern New Mexico State Fairgrounds. Community members are invited to attend and help make this year’s event another success.
