Knights of Columbus Continue Lenten Fish Fry Tradition in Deming

DEMING — Robert Velez of the Knights of Columbus sits down with Bravo Mic’s John Krehbiel to talk about one of Deming’s longtime Lenten traditions — the Friday evening Fish Fry dinners hosted during the Lenten season at Holy Family Catholic Church.

During the conversation, Velez discusses the role the Knights of Columbus play in organizing and serving the community through these weekly dinners, which have become a familiar gathering place for families and friends throughout Lent. The interview highlights the spirit of service, fellowship, and tradition that continues to make the Fish Fry events a staple for the parish and the broader community.

The Lenten Fish Fry dinners are held every Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Parish Recreation Hall. Tickets are available at the door for $12.00.

Community members are invited to attend and support the Knights of Columbus while enjoying a Friday evening meal during the Lenten season.
