
DEMING – Two local students are being recognized for their spelling skills after competing in the District Spelling Bee.
Maximus Guerrero-Quarrel, an eighth grader at Red Mountain Middle School, earned first place in the competition. Finishing in second place was Uriel Contreras, a sixth grader at Deming Intermediate School.
School officials say the event highlighted the hard work and academic dedication of students across the district. Congratulations to both Maximus Guerrero-Quarrel and Uriel Contreras for their outstanding achievements in this year’s District Spelling Bee.
