Spring Testing Schedule Announced for Early College High School Students

DEMING – Deming Public Schools Superintendent has released information through a Facebook post outlining the Spring 2026 standardized testing schedule for students at Early College High School, including key grade-level testing dates and reporting times.

According to the announcement, the spring testing period will begin with a Digital Readiness Check took place on Monday, March 2, 2026, to ensure student laptops are updated and prepared. Major testing events will then take place on Tuesday, April 1, and Tuesday, April 15, 2026.

Ninth-grade students will take the PSAT 8/9 on April 1. The assessment covers Reading and Math and is expected to last about two hours. Students participating in testing are required to report to campus by 8:20 a.m.

Eleventh-grade students will complete two required assessments for graduation. The SAT, covering Math and Reading, will be administered on April 1 and is approximately two hours long. The NMASR Science test will be given on April 15 and is expected to take about one hour.

School officials noted that on April 1, both ninth- and eleventh-grade students will test in person, while tenth- and twelfth-grade students will remain at home and complete assignments through Canvas. On April 15, only eleventh-grade students will report to campus for testing, with ninth-, tenth-, and twelfth-grade students again working remotely.

Administrators also reported that all twelfth-grade students at Early College High School have already met their testing requirements for the 2026 school year, and current tenth-grade students are preparing for the PSAT they will take in October as juniors.

School staff will continue working with students to provide study materials and preparation sessions leading up to the testing dates. Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact the school with any questions regarding the testing schedule.
