Five Individuals Booked on Multiple Charges in Recent Arrests

DEMING – Recent arrests by local law enforcement have resulted in multiple individuals being taken into custody on a variety of charges ranging from outstanding warrants to assault and drug-related offenses, according to a newly released media report from authorities.

Authorities report that Carlos Lugo, 23, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for kidnapping, aggravated battery against a household member, bribery of a witness, and battery against a household member. Officials indicated Lugo is being held without bond.

In a separate case, Tiffany Harris, 34, was arrested and charged with three counts of battery upon a peace officer, concealing identity, and criminal trespass following an incident involving law enforcement.

Also taken into custody was Jose Alberto Ornelas, 36, who was arrested on a Grant County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release. Officials reported that Ornelas is also being held without bond.

Jeremy Jaramillo, 28, was arrested on charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal trespassing, and a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release.

Additionally, Ryan Johnson, 44, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended or revoked, and a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

No additional information about the incidents was immediately released.

All persons mentioned in this report are to be considered innocent until possibly proven guilty by a court of law.
