Maria Monserrat Perez, 82, a resident of Deming, NM went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at her residence with her family by her side.
Maria was born on May 10, 1943 in Carbajal de Arriba, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guadalupe Rojo and Patricia Valenzuela.
She is survived by her husband, Alfredo Perez Castillo; two sons, Angel Perez and his wife Tara of Deming, NM and Jorge Perez and his wife Araceli also of Deming, NM; five daughters, Hortencia Perez of Juarez, Mex.; Patricia Perez and her husband Larry Malinowski of MI; Maria Shaw and her husband Allen of Deming, NM; Ofelia King and her husband Leeland of AL and Angelica Maria Escarcega and her husband Giovanni of Deming, NM; one sister, Ofelia Orozco of Hobbs, NM; twenty five grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents; three sons, Alfredo Perez, Jorge Perez and Manuel Perez; four brothers, Jesus Maria Rojo, Jesus Rojo, Roberto Rojo and Armando Rojo; two grandsons, James Alfredo Shaw and Michael King.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 12-12:30pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The holy rosary will then begin at 12:30pm also at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. Funeral mass will then take place at St. Ann Catholic Church at 1:30pm with Father Tony Basso officiating. Concluding services with an interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Manuel Perez Jr., Ismael Perez, Giovanni Escarcega, Leeland King, Allen Shaw, Angel Perez, Abel Yañez and Larry Malinowski.
