DEMING – Bataan Elementary School is set to honor veterans with a special Veterans Day program on Monday, November 11, at 1 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.
All local veterans, parents, families, and community members are invited to attend and show their support. The program will open with a color presentation by the Deming High School JROTC, followed by performances and presentations by Bataan Elementary’s 4th and 5th-grade classes, who will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and pay tribute to veterans and first responders.
Mayor Micki Shillito will deliver a welcoming address, while State Representative for District 32, Jennifer Jones, and Reverend Dr. Reggie Price are scheduled as keynote speakers.
Deming High School student Juan Mendoza /will honor veterans with a performance of TAPS, and Principal Daena Davis will provide closing remarks.
The public is encouraged to join in this tribute to local heroes on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, at Bataan Elementary School, located at 2200 NM-418. The program begins at 1 p.m.
