Deming High School Student Chosen for Next Level in Prestigious Scholarship Program
DEMING – Ayshleen Lopez, a senior at Deming High School, has been named a Semifinalist for the 2025 Coca-Cola Scholars Program, advancing to the next phase of the selection process. Lopez is one of 1,336 students selected from over 105,000 applicants nationwide for their academic excellence, leadership, and community service.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program, the largest corporate-sponsored achievement-based scholarship initiative in the U.S., will award 150 students $20,000 scholarships.
“Identifying young leaders and encouraging their passion for service lifts communities across the country,” said Jane Hale Hopkins, President of the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
Lopez will now complete essays, submit a recommendation, and provide a transcript as part of Phase 2. 250 Regional Finalists will be selected in January, and 150 Scholars will be named in February, receiving a $20,000 scholarship and an invitation to Coca-Cola Scholars Weekend in Atlanta.
