New Mexico Honors Law Enforcement on National Appreciation Day

DEMING – Today marks National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a time to honor the brave men and women who protect and serve communities across New Mexico and the nation. From federal agents to state troopers, county deputies, and city police officers, their dedication, courage, and sacrifice are being celebrated.

The New Mexico State Police emphasized the importance of recognizing law enforcement efforts, noting their commitment to ensuring safety and upholding justice. “We are grateful for the unwavering support of the communities we serve,” a spokesperson told KDEM News.

Residents are encouraged to show appreciation, whether by thanking an officer personally, displaying blue lights, or sharing messages of support on social media.

The day is a reminder of the sacrifices made by officers and their families to protect others. In Deming and across Luna County, events and gestures of gratitude highlight the community’s deep respect for law enforcement.
