Que Linda Program Offers Coloring Placemats to Engage Local Youth

DEMING – The Que Linda program, a Luna County initiative focused on community beautification and youth engagement, is offering free coloring placemats to local restaurants and youth organizations. These placemats are designed to promote creativity and environmental awareness among children.

Local establishments interested in obtaining these placemats can contact Debbie Troyer at [email protected]. The initiative aims to provide an interactive and educational experience for young patrons while supporting local businesses.

The Que Linda Program is part of a broader effort supported by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) to assist local governments in developing beautification programs. In its inaugural year, the program awarded grants ranging from $95,000 to $200,000 to fourteen local governments, including Luna County, to implement strategies that enhance community aesthetics and engagement.
