New Mexico State University’s new president, Valerio Ferme
DEMING – New Mexico State University’s new president, Valerio Ferme, will visit Deming on Friday, May 23, as part of a statewide tour to connect with local communities and better understand how NMSU can serve their needs.
Ferme will be at the Southwestern New Mexico State Fairgrounds, located at 4100 Raymond Reed Blvd., from 9 to 11 a.m. The visit provides an opportunity for local residents, educators, and community leaders to engage directly with NMSU leadership and learn more about the university’s outreach programs.
The event will highlight the role of NMSU’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences and its Cooperative Extension Service. Attendees can explore local offerings in youth development, adult education, and community programs.
The public is encouraged to attend, meet university and extension staff, and celebrate the impact of NMSU’s service to Luna County.
