Monthly Merchant Luncheons Return to Foster Local Business Connections

DEMING – Deming MainStreet is reviving a pre-pandemic tradition with the launch of a new series of monthly Merchant’s Luncheons, beginning Monday June 2nd, from noon to 1 p.m. at Si Señor Restaurant in Deming.

The luncheons aim to rebuild the networking foundation once provided by the now-defunct Deming Merchants Association, which faded during the COVID-19 outbreak. MainStreet Director Rebecca Hughes. told KDEM News that, “there are businesses in town that do not communicate with one another,” and the goal is to help local businesses learn about each other to improve their chances of success.

The event is Dutch treat, meaning attendees pay for their own meals, and is open to all Deming and Luna County businesses. There are no other fees to attend. This month’s featured presentation will be from Vin Tif Solutions, a local business that assists with finding grants, writing applications, and supporting local funding efforts.

RSVPs are required. Email [email protected] or call the Deming Visitor Center at 575-546-2674 to reserve your seat.
