DEMING – A portion of U.S. Highway 180 was closed between mile markers 150 and 153 due to underwash damage. Crews with the New Mexico Department of Transportation worked to complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible.
Ami Evans with the NMDOT told KDEM News that they were asking drivers to avoid the area, however the road between Deming and Silver City is back and traffic is flowing.
