DEMING – The following arrest and incident report is provided by the Deming Police Department. All individuals named are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Arrests:
Deming Police arrested Manuel Palacio Jr., 49, of Silver City, on charges of interference with officers and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Palmira Valentine, 22, of Deming, was charged with aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, aggravated DWI (first offense), and reckless driving.
Raven Carter, 30, of Deming, was arrested for battery upon a household member.
Dominick Dominguez, 38, of Deming, was taken into custody on charges of interference with officers, prowling, and a Luna County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear. No bond was issued in connection with the warrant.
Burglary:
Officers responded to a breaking and entering incident at a building on the 3000 block of Raymond Reed Boulevard. The padlock was found cut, but no property was reported stolen.
Other Crimes:
A 16-year-old male juvenile was charged with battery upon a peace officer, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, and criminal damage to the property of a household member. The juvenile was booked, then transported to the Lea County Juvenile Detention Center.
Community Policing:
The Deming Police Department participated in the Fourth of July Parade, engaging with residents as part of its community outreach efforts.
