2025 State 4-H Photo Contest Open to New Mexico Youth

DEMING – The 2025 State 4-H Photo Contest is now accepting entries from 4-H members across New Mexico, offering a chance for young photographers to showcase their creativity and compete for awards. Participants can submit up to three photographs in either color or black and white by the August 1 deadline. Entries may be submitted through Facebook or mailed directly to the State 4-H Office in Las Cruces.

Photos must be original and unedited, taken during the current 4-H program year, and include required details such as the participant’s name, club, county, photo title, category, photo location, and contact information. Categories for the contest include themes such as animals, people, landscapes, nature, buildings, 4-H logo or clover images, and a general “other” category for entries that don’t fit elsewhere.

Submitted entries will be placed online for public voting starting August 11. Winners will be selected for first, second, and third place in each category, with rosettes awarded to each. First-place winners will also receive a camera case. In addition, one overall winner will be chosen by a panel of judges and will receive an overall rosette and a $100 cash prize.

All submissions must be the original work of the 4-H member. For more information, contact your local 4-H office or visit the NMSU 4-H Youth Development Facebook page.
