DEMING – DAGSHIP Rescue held another successful adoption event at Tractor Supply last Saturday, placing seven cats and kittens and three dogs into new homes. That’s 10 more animals adopted thanks to the ongoing efforts of Director Chrystal and her volunteers.
Through July, total intakes at DAGSHIP Rescue reached 227 animals, a 14% increase compared with the same period last year.
Also on Saturday, the Dog Days summer sale in Silver City, coordinated by the Borderland Animal Rescue Coalition (NM BARC), generated much-needed funds for both organizations. While proceeds were less than hoped, DAGSHIP officials said they appreciated NM BARC’s work and valued the cooperative relationship between the two groups, which continue working together to improve the lives of animals.
