DEMING – Luna County Road Director David E. Bailey announced Tuesday that the county Road Department has opened an ongoing online auction to dispose of surplus county-owned property, including vehicles, equipment and recyclable materials. The auction began September 23, 2025, and will be hosted on GovDeals; interested buyers can search listings using the 88030 ZIP code and bid on items that remain available for up to ten days per listing.
Bailey said many items will be available for preview by appointment at the Luna County Road Department, located at 2500 J Street SE in Deming. Appointments and additional questions about bidding, payment and pickup may be arranged in person at the Road Department or by calling (575) 546-2703, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Detailed sale and payment information is included with each product listing on the GovDeals website.
The online auction process will remain active for the foreseeable future as the county works to responsibly dispose of liquidated assets.
