DEMING – Agriculture, food, friends, family and football come together for the 12th Annual AG Day on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, ahead of New Mexico State’s Homecoming game versus Kennesaw State. Hosted by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture and NMSU’s College of ACES, the tailgate-style celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pan American Center south parking lot, leading into the 2 p.m. kickoff at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
Organizers say AG Day highlights the importance of New Mexico agriculture with food sampling of local products, hands-on educational booths, and family-friendly exhibits that showcase how farming and ranching touch everyday life. The New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau is the Presenting Sponsor, with NMSU student groups, local ag organizations and businesses taking part.
“AG Day celebrates what’s behind New Mexico agriculture, especially the educational aspect. It’s a chance for families and students to learn, connect and enjoy our state’s traditions,” said New Mexico Agriculture Secretary Jeff Witte. Rolando Flores Galarza, dean of the College of ACES, added that the event spotlights evolving trends and research, preparing the next generation for a strong future in farming and ranching.
Programs such as NMSU Cooperative Extension Service, NM Healthy Soil Working Group and the Las Cruces Utilities Water Conservation Program will offer interactive activities. A Spanish version of the announcement is available. For more details, visit the AG Day webpage or contact Jane Heitz at [email protected] or 575-646-1864.
