DEMING – The Deming Police Department, with booking information provided by the Luna County Detention Center, has released recent arrest and incident reports from the past several days.
Derick Rice, 44, was taken into custody on multiple no-bond warrants. The warrants included two Luna County Magistrate Court warrants connected to residential burglary and larceny, along with two separate District Court warrants for failure to comply with probation conditions on prior possession of a controlled substance cases.
Maria Isabel Madrid De Jesus, 27, was arrested on outstanding warrants for failure to appear. The original charges associated with the warrants included no driver’s license and abuse of a child.
Victoria Gomez, 38, was cited and released for trespassing at the Luna County Courthouse.
Additional arrests were also reported. Kevin Vincent Bourget Jr., 26, was charged with battery upon a household member and criminal damage to the property of a household member. Michael Gonzales, 31, was taken into custody on a no-bond warrant from the New Mexico Corrections Department for parole violations. Cynthia Gallegos, 60, was arrested on a no-bond Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to comply with probation conditions.
Ramon Franco, 26, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting or evading an officer, and was also held on a no-bond Magistrate Court warrant for failure to appear. Elsa Denogean, 46, was arrested on a Magistrate Court warrant for failure to appear with a listed cash bond of $330.00. Jimmy Romero, 23, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Several property damage incidents were also reported. A windshield on a white 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe was damaged at a residence on West Hickory Street, with the damage estimated at $300. A glass window in the front door of a residence on South Suncrest Street was broken; surveillance footage identified a suspect and charges are expected. Another case on East Birch Street involved damage to a front door during an attempted break-in, with the case under investigation.
A disturbance at the Moose Lodge bar on North Gold Street resulted in charges of public affray against John Hopper, 53, and Salvador Uzueta, 61, following a physical altercation.
All persons mentioned in today’s report are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
