Early College Archery Team Places Second at State Tournament

DEMING – The Early College High School archery team earned strong results at the recent “Top the Table” Tournament held at the Albuquerque Aviation Academy, bringing home second place finishes in both the Bullseye and 3D team divisions. The event brought together student archers from across New Mexico for competition in precision shooting and target accuracy.

Early College also had several standout individual performances. Luis Armendariz took first place in the Bullseye division. Ashlynn McGinnis placed second in Bullseye and also earned second place honors in the 3D division. Carmelo Williams secured third place in Bullseye, contributing to the team’s overall ranking.

The Albuquerque Aviation Academy, located on Ventana Road in Albuquerque, hosted the tournament as part of the statewide National Archery in the Schools Program competitive schedule.

Early College High School staff noted that the students have been practicing consistently and have shown strong commitment throughout the season. The school extended congratulations to the entire team for their achievement and representation of the Deming community.
