1st Armored Division Band to Perform Free Holiday Concert in Silver City

SILVER CITY – The Grant County Community Concert Association is preparing for its next performance of the season, presenting the 1st Armored Division Band from Fort Bliss on Sunday, December 14 at 3 p.m. at the WNMU Fine Arts Center Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Association brings four to five nationally and internationally recognized musical groups to Silver City each year, offering performances spanning classical, folk, pop, bluegrass, jazz and other genres.

The upcoming holiday concert features the 1st Armored Division Band, which is regarded as one of the premier military bands in the nation. The ensemble performs worldwide for service members, visiting dignitaries and public audiences, carrying the unit’s motto, “Performance with Pride.” The Silver City performance will include seasonal and festive music as part of the band’s annual holiday appearance in the area.
