DEMING – The Deming 10U travel baseball team, The Sandlot, finished 4–0 over the weekend to take first place at the National Championship Sports tournament held in Las Cruces.
The team’s coaching staff credited the win to steady improvement, discipline, and consistency throughout the season. Many of the opposing teams had defeated Deming earlier in the year, making the championship run especially meaningful for the players and families.
Head Coach expressed appreciation to local sponsors, community supporters, and the parents who stood behind the team this season. He also thanked assistant coaches LJ and Chris for their role in guiding and developing the players.
The coach described the team as “a second family,” and said they plan to continue building on their success and striving for excellence in the seasons ahead.
