Deming City Council to Weigh Fire Equipment Donation, Small Business Proclamation on Nov. 18

DEMING – The Deming City Council will meet Tuesday, November 18, at 5:30 p.m. at 1275 E. Pine Street to address a range of items including a proclamation for Small Business Saturday and the possible donation of fire apparatus to the Village of Columbus.

The agenda includes approval of recent meeting minutes, a travel request for a city employee, and several mayoral appointments to local boards and committees.

Councilors will also consider a resolution authorizing the donation of fire equipment to Columbus, a move aimed at strengthening regional emergency response capabilities. The mayor is scheduled to appoint a Municipal City Clerk during the meeting, and the council will review the city’s proposed 2026 holiday schedule.

Reports will be presented by the Community Development Department, the Deming Police Department, and City Manager Aaron Sera.

The meeting is open to the public in person and online through GoToMeeting or by phone using the city’s published access code.
