DEMING–The Deming Public Schools Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Emmett Shockley Administration Building, 400 Cody Road. The public is encouraged to attend.
The agenda includes reports from NEA Deming on collective bargaining and legislative activity, along with superintendent updates on student council recognition, school safety and the new reporting app, enrollment, human resources, and recent district initiatives.
Public comment will be available for those who sign up before the meeting begins.
Action items include budget adjustment requests, acceptance of grants for Deming High School Robotics, consideration of a $1.9 million Public School Capital Outlay Council award for security and facility improvements, and agreements regarding transportation services, technology equipment, and playground shade structures. Policy updates relating to technology use and artificial intelligence are also scheduled for review.
A closed executive session will follow to discuss personnel matters, student issues, and district use of property at the EJ Hooten Complex, with possible action taken after the board reconvenes in open session.
